HELP WITH THE MATH BLIZZARD BAG ASSIGNMENT:
I have included a sample of a graph of a proportional relationship and some ideas of responses that you could include.  You do not have to include all that I have shown here:

       A Graph of a Proportional Relationship



                                           
The graph that I have chosen is a line graph showing a proportional relationship.  The straight line that extends through the origin on the graph displays the time that it takes for a sloth to cover a specific distance.  It shows that a sloth can travel 3 feet in  a half minute and  6 feet in a minute.
The x axis on this graph represents the time in minutes that it takes for the sloth to cover a certain distance.  The y axis represents the number of feet covered in a specific number of minutes.  The equation for the constant of proportionality
is   y = k x   .  If  y = 6, and x = 1, then k = 6.  Thus, the constant of proportionality is 6 .  The constant of proportionality is also the unit rate.   
        y = k x
       6 = k (1)
       1        1
       6 = k    k is 6 and the constant of proportionality.


A graph that shows a proportional relationship must be a straight line increasing at a constant rate and going through 0, or origin.   The time multiplied by 6 is always the distance!
